Topics include: • Pivot Grip and Mallet Movement – Refining control and fluidity in your playing. • Whisper Drone – Exploring sustained play with dynamic control. • Swells: Crescendo & Diminuendo – Developing sensitivity to gradual volume shifts. • Drone with Variable Force, Tempo, and Location – Creating evolving textures through nuanced strikes. • Single Toning Strokes – Enhancing articulation and phrasing. • Subdividing Time – Exploring rhythm, pacing, and musical flow. • Dampening & Muting (Front & Side) – Controlling resonance and shaping sonic textures. • Friction Mallets – Producing ethereal, harmonic-rich sounds with rubber mallets. • Drumming on a Muted Gong – Discovering rhythmic potential within controlled resonance.

Sound Theory: Explore how sound and vibration influence the nervous system. Dive into the physiological mechanisms behind sound's therapeutic effects through guided group experiments.
Introduction to Sound Healing Instruments: Get familiar with a variety of instruments, including gongs, Tibetan bowls, and chimes.
Exploration & Practice: Learn the basic playing techniques for each instrument through hands-on practice. Spend time experimenting, discovering their unique qualities, and developing your initial connection to sound.
Module 2: Sound Practice Workshop (Requires Module 1)
Advanced Playing Techniques: Refine your skills with extended practice sessions. Learn more complex techniques for playing with gongs, bowls, chimes, and other instruments to create rich soundscapes.
Structuring a Sound Bath: Learn how to design and facilitate a complete sound session.
Introduction to Holding Space: Understand the basics of creating safe, supportive environments for sound healing sessions, including ethical guidelines and trauma-informed practices.
